WASTE // COMMUNICATION SPACE DESIGN

Waste was a collaborative, two-person project, that emulates our interpretive experience on a field study trip to New York City. We were able to create a cohesive space through the exploration of 2D and 3D relationships with form, color, typography and light. Each letter represents a different aspect of waste. The goal was to encourage people to think about their perceptions of waste and how they can individually help reduce consumption. An Andy Warhol art exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC influenced and inspired the color palette. It was designed with the intent of being displayed as a graphic sculptural piece within a public space.
